On Saturday 31st May I spent the day holding a stall at Oxfam's 60th birthday fair in Oxford, drawing bespoke monsters for anyone willing to give a small donation. Here's the best of the bunch- first off a couple of large gouache paintings I made at great speed the night before, to catch the eye of passers-by:


And here are a bunch of the monsters I drew. Each one was drawn straight on to a postcard with no preparatory work, and the subjects came entirely from the customers.









All in all a fun day and some interesting pictures. Most of all it was fun to produce a bunch of stuff and immediately get a positive or negative reaction from your target audience.
